Police Superintendent's Cottage (Deluxe Spa)

The Police Superintendent’s Cottage. This quaint and fashionable cottage, circa 1880, belies the fact that it was originally built as a combination courthouse, jail, office and residence for Strahan's first public officer. A hundred years after construction, it was destined for demolition, but it was saved from the wrecker and moved in 1994 to its present site in Reid Street. You'll marvel at the restoration, size and comfort of this two bedroom cottage, the bathroom's spa bath has a magnificent red gum slab around the edge which overlooks tree ferns hundreds of years old, and the kitchen adjoins the living room.
